Forget the coffee or energy drinks. This is a delicious shake in the afternoon when your energy may be getting low. Simple to make and full of goodness. Cinnamon is a known tonic for the digestive system. It also has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties, possesses cancer-fighting components and helps stabilize blood sugar. Add it to your daily diet, whenever possible, for your overall health.
2 medjool dates, pitted
1 scoop protein powder (optional)
8 oz almond milk plain or vanilla unsweetened
4 oz filtered water
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. raw almond butter
1 banana (frozen is my favorite)
4 ice cubes (if using fresh banana)
