You maybe poisoning yourself and your families with the toxic chemicals that you are using in your homes and on your bodies.
My mission is to make you aware of this and to give you simple and easy solutions to replace toxic chemicals.
I know you came here because you were interested in making a natural carpet freshener, but I had to share that with you. Now we can move on.
The World Is Going Green, Are You?
I am going to share with you this super simple way to get rid of the toxic carpet fresheners you may be using.
Common household chemicals have been linked to more than 200 health problems. Such as; asthma, depression, anxiety, various cancers (including breast, ovarian and brain), birth defects and developmental disabilities, as well as reproductive, cardiovascular and immune system disorders.
Many of these chemicals are stored in our bodies and accumulate over time to cause health problems after years of gradual exposure.

How to Make Organic Carpet Freshener
- 1 Mason Jar, punch holes in the top (I bought a glass jar with a shaker top for Parmesan cheese, works great)
- 1 box of baking soda
- 10 drops GEO Essentials Organic Lavender Oil
- 10 drops GEO Essential Organics Peppermint Oil
Fill the jar ½ way with baking soda then, add 10 drops of each oil into the baking soda. Cover and shake bottle to mix the beautiful aromatherapy organic oils together.
Sprinkle on carpet and leave on for 10- 20 minutes. Then, vacuum and enjoy the fresh non-toxic smells of these beautiful organic essential oils.
I made a second one and put it my linen closet as a natural air freshener. Every time I open the closet I feel like I am at a day spa. Another great idea to freshen your home naturally with essential oils is to add a few drops to your air conditioning vents. The whole house will smell like an aromatherapy spa and you will be sanitizing your air conditioning vents.
