Fit and Fabulous – 10 Minute Workout

You are going to love this new 10 Minute Workout! You don’t need to spend hours in the gym, I keep telling you ladies that. Sometimes we need a quick and effective workout. I like to call them “get it in and get it done workouts”.  This series of 10 Minute Workouts are great when you are short on time.

The workouts are multi-joint exercises so you are working many muscles at one time PLUS turning up your fat burning for the rest of the day.  This is called the EPOC effect.  Excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC, also known as after-burn) is a measurably increased rate of oxygen intake following strenuous activity. This helps to burn calories long after you are done exercising.  How amazing is that!

  • Squats with Over Head Shoulder Press
  • Frogs & 20 Pulses
  • Reverse Lunge With Over Head Shoulder Press

10 Benefits of Resistance Bands

1. They target more smaller muscle groups than using weights alone.
2. Bands engage your core muscles. The bands want to pull you in one direction and your abs have to work to keep you stable.
3. You can use them just about anywhere and are great for travel. No excuses not to exercise on a business trip or vacation.
4. Resistance bands use more than one muscle group at a time, such as lunge with overhead shoulder press.
5. Resistance bands can be used by any fitness level. From beginner to advanced,  young or old.
6. Bands are simple to use and super effective.
7. You can vary the resistance by using different bands with different tension such as the BODYLASTICS resistance bands, which come in different color/tension.
8. You can use them in both push or pull exercise movements. Like a chest-press or an upright shoulder row.
9. Resistance bands are cost effective and great to add to a home gym.
10. They are fun to use and will kick your booty!

    Thanks Laura that was simple circuit but great exercise i can’t for more. I suffer for back pain and its my long standing problem but i make it sure i will always doing simple and light exercise ??

      Hi Angie. I am glad you liked the workout. So many people have back issues. I love using the bands because they are easier on the joints and still challenging. Keep up the great work.
