Crunchy Roasted Chickpea Snack

Roasted Chickpeas

Chickpeas, Garbanzo beans, Chi Chi Beans whatever you call them they are great for you! Personally I love them in just about everything I make.

Lets talk about the benefits of chickpeas.

Fiber & Weight Loss: Chickpeas are rich in soluble and insoluble fiber. They are great for making you feel full and also helping to clean out the digestive tract.

Protein: Chickpeas are a good source of protein without adding high calories or saturated fats.  They are great to add to soups or salads or to roast and eat as a snack.

Manganese: Chickpeas are a great source of the trace mineral manganese.  Mananese is important in energy production.  So eat your chickpeas for energy!

Iron: How about that, not only are they high in Manganese but they are high in iron too!  Iron is important to the circulatory system and the blood.  Feeling a little low on energy?  Try some chickpeas.

Blood Sugar Stabilization: We know keeping our blood sugar stable throughout the day is key to weight loss. Well guess what these beauties also do?  They digest slowly in the bloodstream helping to keep your blood sugar stable.  If they could only cook dinner I think I might marry them!
