Excuses – What is the difference between the people who make transformation changes and the people who don’t? There is one common element that is the same in those people that make the changes and transformations. It comes down to one word, one feeling or one action step. Want to know what that is?
It is that they decide to make the changes no matter what the obstacles, excuses or problems that got in their way. They decided, made a plan and took the action steps each and every day to get where they want to go. That is it. No magic secret, no magic pill, lotion or potion, just a strong commitment to what they decided is right for them.
Life will always throw excuses in our pathway. It is how we look at those excuses and come up with solutions to move past them.
In my personal life, I have been thrown many excuses that could have stopped me from reaching my goals. I lost my father, then my only sibling, my brother at age 36. I DECIDED to turn them into reasons that motivated me instead of letting them crush me. They were the driving force that propelled me and kept me going.
I knew how proud my dad and brother would be if I took charge of my own health and my life instead of being depressed and not taking care of myself and my family.
You can read more about my story here I could have used the excuse of a hereditary back issue – a fracture in my back called a Pars Defect to stop me.
But no! Not accepting that either. Being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue, Epstein-Barr, and Vitiligo but hey, so did so many other people. I researched, took classes, got certified in health, raw foods, detoxing and holistic health coaching and became a nationally certified personal trainer. I found out how to live healthily and kick those issues to the curb.
Then there was the Vitiligo that started to cover my face, chest and shines. It did, I will admit put me into a little funk, but then I met an amazing woman who put everything in my life back into perspective.
