Lower Body Workout
You can do this lower body workout in the parking lot, your living room or even the backyard. It doesn’t matter where you do it just do it. This is a HIIT workout, otherwise known as high intensity interval training. In this HIIT workout we will be alternating from strength training moves to 30 second cardio blasts. You will get your heart rate pumping fast and be burning fat the rest of the day.
This type of training will give you the EPOC effect which is short for excess post-exercise oxygen consumption. Also known as oxygen debt, EPOC is the amount of oxygen required to restore your body to its normal, resting level of metabolic function (called homeostasis).
Think of a car after you turn it off. The engine is still hot hours later. This explains how your body can continue to burn calories long after you’ve finished your workout.
