Are You Living in A Toxic Body? Alkalize And Be Alive

In today’s world with all the processed foods, drive through restaurants and social get-togethers, over acidification of our bodies is a HUGE problem. Combine that with lack of exercise and it is no wonder we are having all sorts of health issues.

 

For those of you who don’t know, I love fitness.  I enjoy exercising and the feeling I get from feeling strong and in control of my body. But what you might not know about me is that fitness is my hobby.

Nutrition and how the body works are my passion.

Recently, I graduated from the largest nutrition school in the country, Integrative Nutrition. But even before that, actually since I can remember I have been studying nutrition and it’s effects on the body. I have even been my own science experiment, living vegetarian, raw, vegan and even the body building lifestyle.

I have been to raw food retreats and learned to create the most amazing dishes, done fasts and cleanses, juiced wheat grass and studied reflexology and aromatherapy. I even have penned my own juicing E-book, The 7 Day Goddess Juice Feast.

I have earned the name the Organic Green Goddess, and am here to share with you how to take care of your body the healthy green natural way, so lets do it!

To Alkalize or not Alkalize?

Now that’s a silly question. A little lesson here on your bodies PH. The PH scale goes from 0 to 14.  O is pure acid and 14 is pure alkaline, 7 is neutral.

The human bodies blood stream is between 7.35 to 7.45 PH. This is a very small range. Our blood is just slightly alkaline. The body needs it to stay in this very tight range.

What happens when the blood becomes too acidic, disease starts to set in. If the blood acidity falls as little at to 7 PH it can be life threatening.

The Acidic Lifestyle

In today’s world with all the processed foods, drive through restaurants and social get-togethers, over acidification of our bodies is a HUGE problem. Combine that with lack of exercise and it is no wonder we are having all sorts of health issues.

The PH level of our internal fluids effects every cell in the body. This in turn can effect our tissues, organs and even the nervous system and signals from our brain.

An acidic body is a breeding ground for bacteria, fungi, yeast and even cancer cells. Some things that cause an acidic body are processed foods, medications, lack of exercise and stress.

Healthy cells love oxygen, cancer cells can’t live in an environment that is “oxygen happy.” Cancer cells live in dark dingy place that lack oxygen, an acidic body…and they also love sugar!

How to make our bodies more alkalized

Well, I thought you would never ask. It is easy to start doing right now!

  • Stay away from processes foods, artificial flavors, colors & preservatives.
  • Juice with green juices (full of oxygen & living enzymes)
  • Exercise! Exercise oxygenates the cells in the body.
  • Get a good night sleep.
  • Avoid processed sugar at all cost.
  • Eat organic whenever possible.
  • Reduce the amount of toxic chemicals you put on your body.
  • Avoid drinking from plastic bottles.
  • Drink alkalized water.
Soda has a  pH of 2.3; once it is ingested, your body has to give the acidic soda all of its energy to try and balance the harmful effect taking place within the body. The soda is acid forming, which ages and helps to create the perfect acidic environment for the body’s cells to give way to cancer and other harmful diseases.

Now, I want you to go run and pull out your juicer and make a beautiful green juice and oxygenate your body.  Think of your cells dancing around in happiness as you give them a tall glass of “green love” and start to alkalize the body.

Remember, every cell in your body is made of what you put in and on it.
