Ginger Lemonade With A Kick

Ginger Lemonade with a Kick

This is not your grandmothers lemonade. This lemonade will help to relieve indigestions, clear the sinuses and repiratory congestions, warm the body and if you add a little cayenne it will give your body a circulation boost. Try it in the morning for an energy boost without any caffeine side effects.

This is not your grandmothers lemonade.  This lemonade will help to relieve indigestions, clear the sinuses and repiratory congestions, warm the body and if you add a little cayenne it will give your body a circulation boost. Try it in the morning for an energy boost without any caffeine side effects.

Ingredients

1/2 c purified water

Juice of 1 medium lemon (1/4-⅓ cup)

2 tsp. ginger root, peeled, very finely minced

1 tsp. raw honey or Stevia

Pinch of cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat the water just to warm it up, not a boil
  2. Put the lemon juice, ginger root, honey, and cayenne in a medium mug and then pour in the hot water. Stir to blend and allow the mixture to steep for 4 to 5 minutes
  3. The longer it steeps, the stronger and more potent the ginger becomes
  4. Drink quickly, ginger bits and all, when the juice blend is just warm to the touch
  5. Feel the warmth and the energy this drink gives your body. What a way to start the day!
